What version of Internet Explorer does Carousel use for interactive bulletins?

Answer

Carousel Players rely on a registry key located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION to know what version of IE to use when showing Carousel interactive bulletins.

The registry entry is a DWORD type with a name of"InteractiveHelper.exe" and a value of "xx000" where xx is the version of Internet Explorer. ie:

Internet Explorer 11 = 11000

Internet Explorer 9 = 9000

This registry setting is unique to each Carousel Player.

Additional Information

Attached to this article is IE11-InteractivePatch.zip. This zip file contains a .reg file that can be ran on your Carousel Player to set the registry key for using Internet Explorer 11 to display interactive bulletins within Carousel.
