Internet Explorer cannot crop a web picture block.

  • Carousel 6.4.x + 

Symptoms

  • Unable to crop a webpage for a web picture block

Cause

Internet Explorer does not allow you to take a snapshot of a web page and have it displayed as a picture within Carousel.

Workaround

  1. Use Chrome.

           or

  1. On the IE browser you are using to access this feature, Select Tools > Compatibility View Settings. 
  2. Type in either localhost or the URL or IP Address of the server and press Add and Close. 
  3. You will now be able to crop web pictures.

Additional Information

  1. This bug will not be resolved since it's a problem with IE.  This feature will be accomplished in a different way in release 7.0.
