Carousel - Warranty Options

Silver Assurance, which covered software upgrades for a year no longer exists and has been replaced by either a Carousel Software Upgrade or Titanium Care. As always, neither is required.

Gold assurance, which covered both hardware and software upgrades for a year no longer exists and has been replaced by an Extended Hardware Warranty. The Three replacement products are as follows:

This assurance policy only applies to Carousel Digital Signage systems. For information involving Carousel running in a Cablecast Environment, contact about warranty options.

Coverage Options

Extended Hardware Warranty - Extends the hardware warranty for an additional year. Up to four years of additional warranty can be purchased, which combined with the included year of hardware warranty, means that each piece of hardware can be completely protected for up to five years. Hardware warranties must be maintained each year and not lapse.

Carousel Software Upgrade - If Silver or Gold Assurance is still in effect it will be honored. If Silver or Gold Assurance is not in effect, customers may purchase a Carousel Software Upgrade. A Carousel Software Upgrade can be purchased any time after the original warranty period has expired and there is no penalty for upgrading from an older version to the current version. The upgrade entitles the customer to a year of software upgrades, upgrade consultation with support and two hours of personalized training.

Carousel Titanium Care – Any customer that currently holds a Manufacturer’s Warranty (they purchased Carousel within the last year), or who holds a current Silver or Gold system assurance contract is eligible to purchase Titanium Care. Titanium Care includes a year of software upgrades, two hours of personalized training and ongoing consultation with support. Titanium care is renewed annually and must be maintained in order to remain in effect. If Titanium Care lapses, a Carousel Software upgrade can be purchased at any time.

Carousel Software Upgrade and Carousel Titanium Care pricing are now tied to the Server license and not to the number of players. The net effect is the same and this change greatly simplifies the sales and operational processes for software upgrades.
